In simple terms, vertical machining centers and engraving and milling machines are essentially milling type CNC machining equipment. They are completely different in terms of processing capacity and use occasions. In order to achieve the ability of milling processing, on the basis of the engraving machine, the spindle diameter is strengthened, the power of the servo motor is increased, and the bearing capacity of the bed is increased, while maintaining the high speed of the spindle, so that it has the ability of carving and milling processing.

3, from the mechanical structure comparison


Vertical machining centers generally adopt bed type structure and integral casting. The spindle speed is generally between 24000r/min-30000r/min, because of the poor rigidity of the body and the spindle, only small feed amount of finishing can be carried out;




4, from the application of comparison


The vertical machining center has high spindle rigidity because its body is cast as a whole. Suitable for the completion of large milling amount of workpiece or mold processing, for large molds and high hardness materials can also be rough or finish machining; Engraving and milling machine because of its overall steel plate welding, coupled with the rigidity of the spindle is poor, can only carry out small milling amount of finishing, suitable for copper, graphite, wood, two-color plate, acrylic plate and other hardness is not high plate processing.
