The precision of the processed products is very good before the shutdown, what is the reason? Is there a problem with the programming, or the operation of the machine personnel is wrong, or the accuracy of the machine tool is worse?

Many inexperienced people will blame this problem on the quality of the machine tool. Actually not, but you missed a very important step before starting the machine, the machine preheating. The thermal characteristics of the machine tool have a very large impact on the machining accuracy, almost accounting for more than half of the machining accuracy, because the machining accuracy difference between the machine tool in the state of long-term stop running and the state of thermal balance is very large! The reason is that the moving parts of the machine tool will cause heating deformation due to load or friction in the process of movement. However, after running for a period of time, the temperature is maintained at a fixed level, and the hot state accuracy tends to be stable, and the processing accuracy naturally comes up. Therefore, it is very necessary to preheat the machine before processing.


So how do you heat the engine? According to the travel of the equipment, a program is programmed to make X, Y, Z three axes run empty according to a certain feed speed. The spindle also makes it spin, and the time is about 20 minutes or so. In this way, the accuracy of the machine tool after passing the heat engine is returned. In the future, when similar situations occur, don't forget the heat engine!
